In my junior year of college, I earned an internship through The Script, a program dedicated to creating career opportunities for underrepresented students. Through this opportunity, I joined Thesis as an Account Management Intern during the summer. I worked closely with account managers and clients, gaining firsthand experience in communication strategies, client relations, and cross team collaborations. My main project involved delivering a research deck exploring how Thesis could adapt to the growing demand for AI development. I also had the chance to connect with graphic designers and web developers, gaining exposure to their creative and technical processes while contributing to a few summer projects.
Another project involved shadowing Thesis’s design team. After observing their process, I asked to be assigned a task to help me get familiar with Figma. I was challenged to redesign a website, which allowed me to practice applying design principles and navigating the platform in a real world context.
AI Research
Summer Project
During my summer internship at Thesis, over the course of six weeks, I immersed myself in AI research. Conducting interviews, listening to podcasts, analyzing AI YouTube videos, and attending AI-focused events to strengthen the credibility of my findings. This allowed me to combine insights from digital sources & also from industry voices and community discussions. At the end of the internship, I delivered a comprehensive research deck outlining where and how Thesis could leverage AI to support clients and internal operations. The project was ultimately shared with the C-suite, where I received positive feedback on both the depth of my research and the clarity of my presentation.
Applications used during the internship
One of my mini summer projects at Thesis was to create two spec ads on my own terms, with just one catch: Each had to be limited to 15 seconds. It was a fun challenge that pushed me to think fast, stay concise, and get creative with tools outside the typical video editing world. “15 Seconds to High Noon”
